In
this recipe, I wish to introduce a Kottayam style thoran. This is the way myself and my mom used to prepare
drumstick thoran.
The steps are very easy. So
anyone can prepare this thoran or poriyal
(in Tamil). I am sure that you will
definitely love this recipe.

Method
of preparation:
1. Split the drumstick in lengthwise and
take out the fleshy part with a spoon
2. Cut the fleshy part into small pieces
3. Mix grated coconut, and turmeric powder
in a mixer grinder
4. Heat a pan and pour oil

close the lid of the pan and allow it to boil

adjust to your taste and close the lid of the pan again and allow it to cook
well in low flame
13.Remove from the fir and use as side dish
with rice, once it’s cooked well
Once
you prepare this yummy recipe, I am sure that you will love drumstick thoran and drumstick very well. When I was in Trivandrum, I used to get
drumstick thoran in a different way (just put the
drumstick after peeling the skin, without taking the fleshy part). But I love kottayam
style thoran.
Even my friends in Trivandrum also started preparing this recipe, just
after I introduced this style to them.
If
you have any doubt in this recipe, you can freely write to me. I am expecting your valuable suggestions and
comments too….
Nice
day with nice recipes …… J
