Fenugreek dosa / Uluva dosa


Fenugreek / uluva is a herb, which is having many health benefits.  It contains vitamin C, protein etc., Fenugreek is helpful to balance cholestrol, and also to lower blood sugar.  Fenugreek is helpful to increase milk production in lactating women.  Today, we are going to prepare a dosa with this fenugreek. 


Ingredients:


Raw rice                        - 1 cup

Urud dal / uzhunnu       - 1/4 cup

Fenugreek                     - 1 tablespoon

Toor dal / thuvaraparippu - 1 tablespoon

Salt to taste

Water as required



Preparation:


> Wash and soak raw rice, urud dal, fenugreek and toor dal for minimum one hour

> Grind all the ingredients to dosa batter consistency adding required amount of water

> Keep the batter for fermentation, minimum 6 hours 

> Add salt to taste

> In a tawa / non stick pan, prepare dosa with the batter

> Fenugreek dosa is ready to serve along with chutney or sambar or tomato chutney
