Pesaha paal / Pesaha milk is a
dish prepared in Kerala Christian families along with Passover bread named Inri
appam / indri appam / pesaha appam on Maundy Thursday.
Ingredient:
Coconut
milk (thick) ----------------------- 1/2 cup
Coconut
milk (semi-thick) ----------------1 ½ cups
Jaggery/ Sarkkara
-------------------------- 1 to 1 ½ cups (melted)
Rice
flour ------------------------------------- 2 teaspoon
Banana
(palayamthodan) --------------- 2 numbers (ripened, cut into small round
pieces)
Cardamom
powder ---------------------- ½ to 1
teaspoon
Preparation:
1.
Mix semi-thick coconut milk, melted
jiggery, banana, rice flour and cardamom powder in a vessel
2.
Put the vessel in furnace and stir
well
3.
Stir till the banana cook well
4.
Add thick coconut milk and heat in
low flame for few minutes.
5.
Don’t boil after adding thick coconut
milk
6.
Pesaha paal is ready to serve
