Ragi Ada / Finger millet adai/ Panjapullu adai


Ragi ada is a very simple and delicious food item for breakfast or evening snack.  Here is the steps to prepare gari adai at your own kitchen:



Ingredients:


Ragi powder                  - 100 gm

Banana                           - 1 number (cut into small pieces)

Jaggery                           - 50 gm

Grated coconut               - 25 gm

Cardamom powder         - 1/2 teaspoon

Salt to taste

Water as required

Banana leaves for adai preparation



Preparation:


> In a bowl, take ragi powder, salt to taste and add water little by little and make thick dough (adai consistency)

> In a bowl, take banana (pieces), add grated coconut, jaggery, cardamom powder and stir well and keep it aside as ada filling

> Then take a piece of banana leaf, (as we prepare normal ada), spread the ragi dough on the leaf with your hand and place the filling on the ragi dough and fold the leaf. (do the same for the remaining dough also)

> In a steamer, steam these ada for 10 to 15 minutes in medium flame, ragi ada is ready to serve.
