Easy Beetroot halwa recipe


Ingredients:


Beetroot                              - 1/2 kg

Milk                                    - 1 litre

Sugar                                   - 350 gram

Ghee                                    - 1 tablespoon

Cardamom powder              - 1 teaspoon

Safron                                  - 1 pinch (optional)

Badam  and cashew nuts  for seasoning 




Preparation:


> Wash and peel the outer skin of the beetroot and grate well and keep it aside

> In a pan, add grated beetroot and milk and cook well (stir in between)

> Add sugar and stir well till the consistency become thick 

> After it become thick, add ghee and cardamom powder and stir well

> Add saffron (optional) and stir well and add cashew nuts and badam for seasoning and serve beetroot halwa hot or warm or even after cool down
