‘Madakku Dosa’ is a very yummy evening snack for
children…. I remember my school days… my mother prepared madakku dosa, as
evening snack for us…. She served hot dosa with love… I really miss those
golden days in my life….
I am sure that, this will be a great idea for
those mothers, who are thinking to give something different to eat for their
children in the evening, especially children return home after school hours…
This recipe is very easy to prepare… So let’s
try this out…
Ingredients:
1.
Maida / All-purpose flour
----------------- 1 cup
2.
Grated coconut
------------------------------1/2
to 1 cup
3.
Salt
---------------------------------------------- to taste
4.
Sugar
-------------------------------------------- 2 -4 tablespoon
5.
Water
-------------------------------------------- as needed
Preparation:
1.
Take the maida or all-purpose flour
in a vessel and add salt and mix and then add water and make a batter in the
consistency of dosa batter
2.
Adjust the salt according to your
taste
3.
For filling, in another vessel, add
grated coconut and sugar and mix well and keep it aside
4.
Heat the thava and pour one ladle
(spoon) of dough and spread like dosa (thin)
5.
Allow it to cook one side well, and
if you wish to turn it and cook the other side, you can.. otherwise put 2
tablespoon of filling inside the spread and fold
6.
Take the madakku dosa from the thava
and have it hot
You can use wheat powder instead of
maida and prepare the same. Here, I did the original madakku dosa …
